Father’s day is fast approaching on the 18th June 2013 and if you are unsure of how to celebrate the day, have no worries! After some researching here are some ideas!
Opening the Olympics Exhibition
Why not take him to the Museum of London to the Opening the Olympics exhibition? It starts at 10 am and ends at 6pm. You will be able to relive the 2012 Olympics. If he is the sporty type he will appreciate it and the event is free.
The Dalaunay
Treat to him a breakfast and brunch, you could try The Delaunay in Aldwych where they serve Austrian, French and German dishes. Their meals range from £6.50 to £27.50 which is pretty affordable. Breakfast is served from 7am to 11.30am and brunch is served from 11am to 5pm. You will have to book in advance but it’s worth the effort. Check the website for more information and booking. Or you could take him out for some freshly baked pizza at Santa Maria in Ealing, you can get a nice pizza for a little more that £8 and a main course ranges from £5.45 to £10.55. Opening hours are from noon to 10.30pm. For more information check their website.
The Shard, London
Give him a breath taking view of the city of London by going to The view from the Shard located in The Borough. You can get a 360 degree view with the digital ‘Tell: Scopes’ which are their updated binoculars with touch screens that give you additional information on the buildings that you are looking at and give you a chance to zoom in and see what the city looks like at different times of the day. It opens at 9am and closes at 10pm every day. It is free for children under 4 years old but then for 4 years and over it is £24.95.
Have a great Father’s day however you choose to spend it!
