Tower Bridge to Rotherhithe photography walks

On a Sunday in May we set off at around 20:00. The night was over-cast when the light from the buildings began to reflect through the sky. We were ready to record the wonders of river life.

Having picked a low tide to enable us to walk along the banks of the Thames, using tripods and slow shutter speeds we attempted to capture part of London’s soul.

To be able to disappear in a City of millions, on to the South Bank of the river at night, free from the ever-rushing of the streets, to be alone is truly a wonder in its self.

We followed the river along its course to Rotherhithe then, to the roof of one of the old warehouses climbed up onto the scaffolding, looked out onto a city on fire with the steady glows of light, from the subdued hulking body that is London.
