It’s finally here! Our first ever printed magazine!
Over the Easter break, Team E2E were very busy working with a group of young people from the heart of Brixton, South London.
As part of our first ever Cr8tive Project, we ran a magazine workshop in the Moorlands Estate in Somerlayton. During a fun week of learning, creativity and hard work, the young people produced a small magazine for their community.
Our Cr8tives were taught the basics of putting a magazine together and basic skills in photography, journalism and magazine design. Once the basics were learnt our Cr8tives got stuck in, took photos and interviewed some great and inspirational people who live in Brixton.
They grilled our cover star Terroll Lewis, who founded the Block Workout movement. They also spoke to presenter Mia Labelle, deputy Youth Mayor of Lambeth Jeremiah Emmanuel and their very own community hero Solomon Smith – the founder of Brixton’s Soup Kitchen.
It was a a fun process for the E2E Team, the Cr8tives and our friends Photofusion and to top it all of it has become our first ever printed issue with much thanks to the guys at Metropolitan!
Packed with inspiration, check it out below!
