Daniel Craig to return as Bond in “Devil May Care”?
Daniel Craig enlisted for Bond movie 24, “Devil May Care”, based on Sebastian Faulks’ novel.
The Sun’s showbiz blog Bizarre have revealed that the follow-up to Skyfall will be Devil May Care. Back in 2008, when the continuation novel was published, the Telegraph reported that film bosses had turned down the opportunity to transform the book into film. With the success of Skyfall it seems as though minds have been changed!
The novel, written by Sebastian Faulks to mark the 100th anniversary of Bond creator Ian Fleming’s birth is a sequel to The Man With The Golden Gun and set in the swinging sixties. The story sees the spy investigating Dr Julius Gorner, an evil chemist, who has a severe hatred of England!
Daniel Craig has been enlisted to play Bond again and Sam Mendes, responsible for Skyfall’s success, is set to direct the forthcoming movie. Mendes has said that he was. “very much looking forward to taking up the reins again and to working with Daniel Craig, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for a second time.”
Whether the film will be set in 1967 like the book, or brought forward to modern times is yet to be revealed!
