Jords, is an 18 year-old rapper-songwriter from South London. Having been releasing music since late 2011, Jords has attracted the attention of many with his intelligent yet catchy lyrics, releasing his debut mixtape The Organised Mess in 2012 to critical acclaim.
Born into a musical family; his Father being in a touring band and his cousin Gordon Chambers – a Grammy award-winning songwriter for the likes of Beyoncé, Trey Songz and Whitney Houston, his musical path was inevitable.
Jords whose real name is Jordan Edwards–Wilks, is known for being able to effortlessly combine clever wordplay with raw emotion and an inspirational message, frequently drawing comparisons to the likes of Wretch 32. With lyrics that have been described as “Truth on his level, but never talking more than what he knows”, and with the pending release of his debut free album, Jords is ready to introduce himself to the world!
‘Today’ is the first official single to be released from the 18-year-old recording artist’s debut album. The album is scheduled for released in. Sampling Oasis’ classic, ‘Wonderwall’, accompanied by live percussion from Urban Rocka Live’s Trickz Makai; this track is an instant classic.
The upcoming LP features production from the JOAT team, who has previously worked with P-Money and SnakeyMan, and is co-produced by Jords.
Featuring inspirational yet catchy lyrics, ‘Today’ and Jords appeals to various generations of music lovers through a mixture of pop, urban, poetry and rap.
