J. Cole announces ‘Power Trip’ video premiere and album release dates.

J. Cole & Miguel - Power Trip performance

After pushing back the release date of his sophomore album, Born Sinner, back in January, J. Cole has finally announced that the project will be hitting shelves this summer on June 25. The date is now set to be a big date for Hip-Hop this year as Wale’s third studio album, The Gifted, is scheduled for release the same day!

The North Carolina native took to twitter to announce the date, along with the great news that he’ll be premiering the long-awaited video for his Miguel featuring track ‘Power Trip’.

Speaking to MTV News about the track J. Cole said:

I get excited about that; it’s an opportunity to change things. It’s almost like the first time I heard ‘Cry Me a River,’ Justin Timberlake. The minute that came on … It hit you a certain kinda way. That was the exciting part.

The ‘Power Trip’ video is set to debut later on today (6am US time) via MTV.
