Tanya Lacey - Date Myself

Tanya Lacey has dropped a brand new track from her deluxe edition of Head Chef titled ‘Date Myself’. The Bristolian who first appeared on the charts as a guest feature on Loick Essien’s 2011 track, ‘How We Roll’ had been quiet for the first part of 2012, but since the release of her EP back in October has been making up for it! Speaking on her self-confidence boosting track she has said:

I wrote this in NY after having a conversation with another writer when asked me what I did back in the UK when I wasn’t in the studio and I joked that I generally just “dated myself”, being pissed off with previous relationships failing… “date myself” is on a tongue-in-cheek/playful kinda vibe and at the end of the day it’s a little reminder that its OK to be by yourself and to spend time getting to know yourself before diving back into a relationship just for the sake of it, especially at Christmas!!

‘Date Myself’ can be found on Tanya’s Head Chef Deluxe EP which includes;’Greatness’ featuring Kano, ‘Good Man’ featuring RoxXxan, ‘Letter to my Ex’ and 8 more tracks. Download it via iTunes here and listen to ‘Date Myself’ below.
