E2E music feature writer Lydia hits us up with a UK classic for this week’s Throwback Thursday.

Kano - Brown Eyes E2ETT

It’s Thursday, so that can only mean one thing – Throwback Thursday!

Now, I know it’s been a while. In fact, it’s been longer than a while – but don’t worry! I’ve got a Throwback that will make you forget I ever went away! With the new series of gritty, British drama Top Boy (starring Ashley Walters, or better known as Asher D and Kano) back on our TV Screens, you know I’ve been showing love to the UK more than ever.

If you scroll through my “Recently Played” playlist on iTunes, you will see a whole load of Kano, So Solid…well, just a load of Kano and So Solid – but you can understand why!

So this week, I’ve selected Kano’s ‘Brown Eyes’. Undoubtedly one of his best tracks, this is the perfect jam for a week like this! It’s the beginning of September, the sun is blazing but there’s still a beautiful autumnal breeze… play this as you’re walking to the station in the morning and tell me if it doesn’t but you in the best mood ever! Kano went back to his roots in this video, shooting it in Jamaica. And I must say, he is looking mighty fine in it, too. As well as in Top Boy. Swoon.

Anyway, folks. Here we go!
