After a worldwide search, South London actor Arnold Oceng aka SnakeyMan has been enlisted for a leading role alongside Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon, in upcoming picture The Good Lie.

The Philippe Falardeau-directed film will see the Adulthood star play Mamere Deng, one of four Sudanese ‘Lost Boys’ orphaned during the Second Sudanese Civil War.

Based on a true story, Mamere wins an American citizenship lottery and moves Stateside with the three other orphans; they are then taken in by Carrie (Witherspoon) who attempts to help them integrate into their new modern lifestyles.

Currently on set in Atlanta, USA, the 27-year-old shared his excitement with The Daily Mail:

The film is such a blessing to be part of it’s a personal story to the people of Sudan and it’s a story that needs to be told to the world, and I’m honored to be working with a great cast and crew.

Reese is awesome and such a great humble down to earth person who is also a great actor who I am learning from everyday were on set.

The Good Lie will be released later on this year.
