The Weeknd signed + set to release the ‘Trilogy’!

The Weeknd lands himself a deal with Universal Republic and prepares for a November release.

After having a successful year without being signed to a major label, Abel Tesfaye better known by his stage name The Weeknd has bagged himself a partnership with Universal Music Group with their Republic Records label. The singer who arose to fame with his trilogy of mixtapes is currently working on releasing the tapes as a retail package entitled Triology.

The mixtapes; House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence will be mixed and re-mastered for release on November 13th, and will include unreleased music from the Canadian.

‘Wicked Games’ from his first mixtape House of Balloons will serve as the first single from Triology and will be made available for purchase on iTunes and other digital retailers ahead of the project’s release date.

The singer first announced plans to reissue his mixtape last Christmas. Looks like we’ll be having an early present this year, can’t wait!
