Google turns Image search into a retro arcade game to celebrate its 37th anniversary!

To commemorate the 37th anniversary of Atari’s Breakout, Google has switched up its image search with a little Easter egg! Yes, it’s not Easter, but that’s what they call their childish but creative and fun gimmicks injected into their search engine.

The retro game was introduction was 37 years ago, back in 1976 and was a popular arcade game. The game was inspired by, Pong (like table tennis), another Atari game created four years prior, in 1972.

Simple but addictive, all you have to do is hit a ball, smash the objects and make sure you catch the ball. Or you’ll lose a life!

Hit play or do an image search for “Atari Breakout” to give it a go! Don’t waste your day on it though, that can easily be done – be warned!
