The Weeknd drops ‘Rolling Stone’ video + pens a letter
The Weeknd drops a video for his track ‘Rolling Stone’ and pens an open letter to his fans.
The Weeknd has put out a weird video for his track ‘Rolling Stone’ and written a letter to his fans. The Canadian singer whose real name is Abel Tesfaye released a black and white clip last week, with him simply sitting in a chair in his dimly lit studio singing into the camera. To accompany the video, he has written a letter to his fans to thank them and to explain the clips visual simplicity but context deep of his clip.
I want to thank you for listening and being patient for as long as you have. No matter what an artist’s ego clouds them to believe, you are the reason why I have been able to continue to do what I love to do and that is to entertain you. My journey for inspiration may seem like masochism to others who have not been given the task to make art, but best believe it brings me nothing but joy.
‘Trilogy’ will feature remixed and remastered versions of The Weeknd’s three mixtapes, House Of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes Of Silence as well as three new tracks; and will be released on November 12th.
