Brooklyn-based rapper Kay M releases his first EP, “Green Lights”.

In spring 2009, Kay M became “BET’s 106 & Park Freestyle Friday’s” first ever Grand Champion. Since then he has worked with Grammy Awards Winning producers Deezle and Bangladesh, opened up for Talib Kweli and travelled to North America and Canada on Jay Z’s, Blueprint 3 Tour.

Finally settled back in his hometown of Rahway, New Jersey and being signed to an international independent, Kay M has been working hard in the studio to produce debut project Green Lights. Being the first official release from Kay M, Green Lights is a means to set the stage for what is to come, working as a platform to introduce the world to the reconstruction of Kay M.

Green Lights experiments with the extremes of hip hop, mixing and mashing different genres and moving away from the typical hit punch lines to composing an artistry of sound to paint pictures with words and story tell.

Right now good music is around, a lot of right now its hot music. I wanna take it back to the artistry and make timeless hits. Like BIG’s character said, maybe in the right hands, I can be one of the greatest.
