E2E’s Andre Johnson gives his verdict about this weeks performances in the World Cup.

The World Cup is probably the most prestigious tournament in footballing history.

However, we all know that it’s the little things that count especially in the world of football. So we’re going to look at the small moments that stood out for me this week!

Spain 1-5 Netherlands:  The Netherlands smashing an overrated Spanish squad, for me, that was absolutely phenomenal, Van Gaal really showed why his style of football would be great at Manchester United. However Spain were too laid back and lacked in the middle of midfield, something to work on for the next few matches, I believe they will bounce back.

The Dutch squad

The Netherlands: yes it’s that team again! They are just explosive in the World Cup, beating Spain is a very big achievement especially by such a wide goal margin. The Dutch are a team to look out for.

Arjen Robben acknowledging the fans

Arjen Robben: the Bayern Munich Midfielder was fantastic against Spain scoring two goals, it  is without a doubt he is one of Holland’s best players.

Giovani Dos Santos having two goals disallowed: It was really the first disallowed goal that stood out when he was ruled offside, however the replay showed that the last person to touch the ball before him was a Cameroon defender. But Mexico pressed on to find a goal and win 1-0 in the end.
