Azealia Banks recently dropped the visual for her new track, ‘1991’.
As you watch the video, you can see elements of music videos from the 90s (e.g. Missy Elliott, Aaliyah and Whitney Houston’s, ‘It’s Not Right, But It’s OK’ kind of thing). It almost looks as if the video could have been directed by Hype Williams himself – the music video director of the 90s.
The producer of this track, Machinedrum does a great job of infusing House, Garage, Electronic and Hip Hop together, creating a real party vibe. This tune is a great follow up to ‘Liqourice’ and, of course, ‘212’. Gwan Azealia!
