The-Dream premières the video for his latest cut ‘IV Play’.
Gearing up for the release of his fifth studio album later this month, The-Dream unveils the video for its second official single ‘IV Play’. Freshly premiered, the Director X clip is very reminiscent of the 90s, perfectly tying in with his yesteryear R&B sound.
Speaking to VEVO The-Dream said of the album:
IV Play is me jumping into the future and trying to leave the past behind. This album probably maintains about 25 percent of the fabric of what I’ve done musically, but the rest of it, I’ve really opened it up.
The video sees the singer-songwriter vibing and knee bobbing to the silky smooth cut atop of retro and abstract building. The sandy coloured video also features some booty, unnecessary cat-walking and hair whipping.
The old-school look of the video and the Silk/R. Kelly sound of the track will hopefully mean, the sexy, smooth and real R&B is on its way back! Fingers crossed!
